GIBBS COLLEGE OF BOSTON PARTNERS WITH CAMBRIDGE COLLEGE TO HELP STUDENTS EARN BACHELOR’S DEGREES

Classes located within Gibbs facility; Credits easily transferred

BOSTON, MA (April 12, 2007) – Gibbs College has announced a partnership arrangement with Cambridge College that will enable Gibbs graduates to earn a bachelor’s degree without the hassle of switching to a new location or struggling to transfer credits.

Under the agreement, Gibbs graduates past and present will be able to obtain a Bachelor of Science degree in management studies from Cambridge, MA-based Cambridge College – which focuses on education for working adults – while taking courses at Gibbs’ Newbury Street location.

"Many of our students wish to continue their education after receiving their diploma or Associate of Applied Science degree," says Steve Bonkowski, president of Gibbs College. "For grads interested in earning a bachelor’s degree, transferring credits and getting acclimated to a new school can be a challenge. But with this new Cambridge College program, their main focus becomes excelling in their classes – the transition itself is nearly seamless."

Through the new program, credits earned at Gibbs are automatically accepted toward the Cambridge Bachelor of Science degree in management studies. In addition to being able to attend classes at the Newbury Street facility, students are also able to visit various Cambridge service departments – including admissions and financial aid – right at the Gibbs site. Courses are also offered in the evenings and Saturdays, to accommodate working students.
